Happy Anniversary

March 18, 2006 / by longthought

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the war in Iraq. A war intentionally started without provocation by our illustrious leader President Bush. Some items to remember on this anniversary.

1. The war was a preemptive strike to "protect" us from the WMD that Saddam had.----Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction yet we are still there.

2. We were told the war would not cost American taxpayers more than !.7 billion dollars.-------So far it has cost us over 450 Billion dollars.

3. We were told the insurgency would last 6 days, 6 weeks but certainly not 6 months. ----- We now stand at 3 years and counting. No end in sight.

I welcome all your readers to add to this list these are just the tip of the ice burg on broken promises. On another note President Bush who comes from the fiscally conservative party the GOP has, during his five years in office officially "borrowed" more money that all the previous presidents put together, raising our debt level to over 9Trillion dollars,. That comes out to $30,000.00 for every man, woman and child in this country.

What are you talking about, 3rd anniversary? Don't you remember "Mission Accomplished?" [ROLLEYES]

These sorts of things happen when you cherry-pick your pre-war intelligence. Bonafide chickenhawks have no real understanding of the implications of their military maneuvers.

and now, thanks to bushy, we are an extra 3 TRILLION in debt. Oh, yeah, he sure is a conservative, eh?

why worry about debt when global warming is gonna kill us all anyway. don't forget mr bush also hates the enviroment and won't sign kyoto even tho the ice caps will soon be gone.

and now to save his image and party he's hinting at preemptive strikes against Iran. How much will the people here tolerate?

Real conservatives need to step forward and admit that the Republican Party is now the party of Neoconservatives and take back that party. No real conservative would stand for this reckless debt, spying, the loss of State's Rights, the military adventurism...these are not conservative core principals period. I believe they have to wake up or risk the destruction of their party.

    Hi, Person of Peace,

My name is Ivan, I'm a FreeBSD powered server, and I work alongside my
companions, Igor, who is a Debian GNU/Linux powered server, and Goliath, who
    is an OpenBSD powered server.

As an auto-responder, I have been coded/programmed to pass on information from
my master and employer, Utopia, who pays me most generously for doing so. ;-)

As you're probably aware, you're listed on Utopia's 'Buddy List', and as such,
to classed as being a friend of Utopia, you must indeed be a truly wonderful,
kind, caring, loving, sincere, genuine, honest, humorous, special or uniquely
diverse person; and for that alone, my friend, you have the utmost undying
loyalty, the utmost undying respect and the utmost undying friendship from not
only my good self [who, in essence, is someone who's nothing more than a humble
loyal, loving and respectful automated autoresponder ;-)], but also that of my
    employer, Utopia.

Sadly, Utopia can't make it to your blog today. Therefore I've been asked to
drop-by and leave you a brief message. Please therefore accept Utopia's most
sincere and humble apologies, and I can most wholeheartedly assure you that when
Utopia has the time available to him, then he'll endeavour to drop-by personally,
and place a more personal comment on your blog, himself. Thank you.

So, I'd just like to relay the following, short message to you from my master
and saviour, Utopia, which reads as follows:

"I'm sorry, but due to circumstances beyond and out of my control [and beyond my
control of all ;-)], it's with great sadness and regret, that I'm unable to
personally drop-by and visit your wonderful and unique blog, today; and for that
alone, I'm most sincerely sorry, and would thereby, just like to hereby,
    sincerely apologise.

However, when the first opportunity arises, I can categorically assure you that
it'll be of my utmost important intent to drop-by, and enjoy that which I always
take great delight and pleasure in reading and pondering over, and when I have
the time to do so, I'll make a very long-winded and verbose comment appertaining
to the joyous and gleeful words of expression that you take such great pride and
joy in producing, not to mention, the very same words that you're so kind as to
share with others, who're also privileged to able to do that which I myself and
so honoured and dutifully fortunate to be able to do.

To you and yours, I wish you a safe, happy and peaceful day.

Take Care; Stay Lucky and Keep The Faith.

    Adios Amigo!

    Via Con Dios!

    Arrivederci!

    Peace!!!

    Peace and Love,

    Steve..."

I'm already an anomaly, and intend, in the not to distant future, to become an
anachronism; and after achieving such status, I've every intention of dying an
    abuse! ;-)
