No One Could Possibly Want to Bomb Iran Now

April 27, 2006 / by longthought

Iran has recently got onboard with Russia and China in a military alliance, along with some other mid-east countries who happen to produce oil. A very smart move by Russia and China to protect their oil interests. In essence Russia and China are telling us to back off, we got a stake in Iran and you better not touch it and I believe they mean business. If we were to attack Iran it would be an all out war over oil.
China has recently signed a $100,000,000,000 that's a 100 billion dollar deal for oil with Iran. I believe they are serious. So Bush I don't believe even you are going to attack Iran, but if you do, I know you are aware of the consequences. It will be WWlll. Plain and simple.

You dont know if there were any conditions attached to the 100 billion dollar oil deal with Iran. I am sure that our president is well aware of the consequences of war with anyone, chances are slim that he read your blog and thought wow there is an original thought.

He doesn't even read the newspapers. I'm sure he won't read any of this.[COOL]
  • longthought said 2 years ago
It's also PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that Bush IS NOT AWARE of the consequences of war or Iraq would of been handled a lot differently.[COOL][COOL]

Excuse me all..going to the backyard to finish my bomb shelter[LOL]
  • retiredthoughts said 2 years ago
the only way to have a successful war there would be if we just use the Powell doctrine of Overwhelming Force and blow them off the face of the earth. And I am all for it as long as Bush is riding the first dropped bomb, like Slim in Doc Strangelove, don'cha know.

Thanks for the great visual RT..I can see Dubya on that bomb going Yee-ha!!!![THUMBUP]

Who cares about Bush, what will Cheney do?
  • jvanders said 2 years ago
Bush reads the newspapers, he just doesnt read the liberal editorial pages. Retiredthoughts too bad that you have such a low opinion of the United States and its capabilities, and Oldfatguy your quote about cheney was so funny i forgot to laugh, were you up all night thinking that one up. You guys just think that because Bush has a Texas accent that he is slow and dimwitted which is the typical stereotype of anyone from the south.

And longthought, what was PAINFULLY OBVIOUS about the consequences of war?
  • longthought said 2 years ago
Just a couple: Bush told us the war would not cost us more than 1.7 billion dollars {It's now over $400 billion) Rumsfeld said it would last "6 days, 6 weeks, but certainly not 6 months". That's just for starters.[COOL][COOL]
  • longthought said 2 years ago
Even more PAINFULLY OBVIOUS are the loss of lives and limbs of our American troops. But you already know all of these and choose to rationalize these losses as okay or you wouldn't be saying what you say. I choose to believe they are not worth what Bush says we are fighting for. Which by the way has changed several times since the beginning of the war anyway.[COOL][COOL]
  • jvanders said 2 years ago
I think that a President that goes to war understands that some Americans will die or lose limbs. The decision to go to war wasn't taken lightly. Obviously you would prefer that Saddam and the Taliban stay in power, and that Saddam continue to fill his mass graves. Lets face it, you prefer that Saddam continue to pay suicide bombers and to negotiate with terrorists. Oh I know - there aren't any WMD's, get off of it, all the democrats knew they were there as well as the republicans. It was only after the democrats insist that we tell them that we were coming, that Saddam decided to move them to Syria. And obviously you believe we are fighting for Oil right. Before the war we had no idea that the Iraqi insurgents would be as strong as they were. Any other country that the Americans liberated were thrilled that we were there, only the stone aged mideast has problems with freedom.

jv...you live in such a tiny world?

I think that a President that goes to war understands that some Americans will die or lose limbs (duh?). The decision to go to war wasn't taken lightly (no it's predetermined). Obviously you would prefer that Saddam and the Taliban stay in power, and that Saddam continue to fill his mass graves (or Bush with 30,000 dead in Iraq). Lets face it, you prefer that Saddam continue to pay suicide bombers and to negotiate with terrorists (no Reagan did that he never did?). Oh I know - there aren't any WMD's, get off of it, all the democrats knew they were there as well as the republicans (excuse me even the final CIA report said there were none? zilch, zero,). It was only after the democrats insist that we tell them that we were coming, that Saddam decided to move them to Syria (WTF...making things up here buddy?). And obviously you believe we are fighting for Oil right (ah excuse me or no). Before the war we had no idea that the Iraqi insurgents would be as strong as they were (bad intelligence huh...correct the bad intelligence is Bush). Any other country that the Americans liberated were thrilled that we were there, only the stone aged mideast has problems with freedom (Jeez so does Bush).

Okay go turn on Rush again for this incredible line of bull...

strider your comments within my post are too absurd to even answer. I'm not going to go through and send you support for each one of my arguments. Based on your theory we shouldnt have bombed dresden and killed 30000 germans even though Hitler killed 6 million jews. Your arguments are tiresome. And longthoughts you should really think about changing your screen name. Your thoughts are limited to liberal one-liners.
  • jvanders said 2 years ago
Obviously you can't respond so you say they are old and boring. Well your liberal remarks are even older and even MORE boring.

Where did the President say he wanted to Bomb Iran????
  • longthought said 2 years ago
Well, He hasn't ACTUALLY said ,"BOMB", but he has a track record that leans in that direction. Plus he has said that 'ALL OPTIONS ARE ON THE TABLE' and we know where that can lead.[COOL]
  • grumpy said 2 years ago
Jimmy-we have plans to invade Canada-doesn’t mean we are going to. All he has said is all options are on the table, as he should. The President has often expressed his commitment to a diplomatic solution and has encouraged foreign involment including the U.N.
  • redwolftimes said 2 years ago
As Americans we have the right to question our leaders and the tactics that are taking to get from point A to point B..that is our right. I have been reading LT's blog for awhile and am confident when he writes something it isn't written out of malice..but thought and concern, which can't be said for most people that I have run into here. LT is like most of us, we are angry..I'm republican(have been since I started voting) and I'm angry..and feel a change needs to come about.
  • grumpy said 2 years ago
Oh sometimes he can get head of himself. But can't we all.

World War Three to prevent a holocaust? Why not ? Better than fidning out after the fact that it was what was necesarry. Why would America fear economic backlash from China , China thrives because of you guys down there in the U.S.

I once believed that America was not an attack nation. We should only fight if someone attacks us. Then, blow the hell out of them like we did Japan.

War on Iran would be a deadly mistake, though the agenda and motive are there
